    I think you should be able to print a copy or some part of the book without doing a copy/paste operation. After all you own the book. There may be situations where a Kindle is not allowed because it can connect to the internet. There are places where this is so.

    You can copy parts of a physical book with a photocopier. You can also photocopy Kindle pages (really, you can!).

    You can’t, however, copy the whole thing in either case. Printing direct from Kindle would make it too easy to make physical copies of books, and that lies well outside Fair Use.
